Yes! I think we’ve all been exposed to enough social media to know what gets engagement, so some days it’s hard to resist manipulating the levers that appear to “work,” for us and for others around us. Some days it’s hard to be ok with creating what WE want, even if we know from the jump that it probably won’t resonate with our current audience (which is such a strange concept in and of itself).
I totally hear that!! Human design has helped me understand how to resonate best with my audience. When I’ve tried to follow other people’s styles or apply their best practices, it never works for me. And there’s a reason why — it’s out of alignment with my design.
I feel this, interestingly enough about Substack! A more private place of expression.
